Mark Twain described Hawaii as “that peaceful land, that beautiful land” with a climate like “one long delicious summer day.” We invite you to join us as we seek the aloha spirit of Hawaii in 2020 on Bluegreen’s exclusive, customized Owner Adventure. Because of our experience taking owners to Hawaii in the past, we believe we have developed the perfect Hawaii itinerary, whether you’re planning your first visit to America’s Paradise or just your next one. You’ll start on Oahu with a three-night stay in oceanfront accommodations at the incomparable Sheraton Waikiki Hotel. Meet your Bluegreen hosts and fellow owners at a Welcome Reception in the hotel’s magnificent RumFire Lounge. Your first full day is yours to experience Honolulu, Waikiki Beach and the rest of Oahu as you like. The next day you’ll take a solemn journey back to 1941 and the “day which will live in infamy” on a full-day tour. Spend time at Pearl Harbor, the USS Arizona Memorial and the USS Missouri. On your last day on Oahu you’ll visit the Hālona Blowhole and the exotic Boyodo-In Temple Buddhist temple. Next take a movie tour at Kualoa Ranch, called the “backlot of Hawaii,” where scenes from Jurassic Park and other movies and TV shows were filmed, followed by a delicious barbecue lunch.
After your Oahu tour you’ll embark on a 7-night cruise aboard Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America. Norwegian has the only cruise itinerary that begins and ends in Honolulu, allowing ample time to experience the distinctive nature of each Hawaiian Island. Onboard the ship you can learn about Hawaiian culture through native ambassadors. Your first stop is on Maui, where you’ll stay overnight in port. You’ll have time for shopping or sightseeing in the old whaling village of Lahaina, followed by the Old Lahaina Luau, an evening of traditional Hawaiian cuisine, music and dancing at a beachfront setting. You’ll also have a day on your own to catch a Maui sunrise atop Haleakala Crater or drive on the twisting road to Hana. On the Big Island of Hawaii your full-day excursion includes time at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and beautiful Rainbow Falls and Akaka Falls. On the Garden Isle of Kauai, your excursion includes an elegant lunch at Duke’s Restaurant on Ka’la’paki Beach and a stop for panoramic views of Waimea Canyon, called the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific.” Since your ship stays in port on Kauai overnight, you’ll have time for on-your-own sightseeing before your ship sails past the emerald cliffs of Kauai’s Nā Pali Coast. Bid your fellow adventurers aloha at a Farewell Cocktail Reception as you sail back to Honolulu.

Your first full day in Hawaii is yours to get acclimated to the time zone change. If you desire you can explore the island of Oahu on your own. Perhaps you’ll choose to make the short hike up Diamond Head for panoramic views of the island and the ocean, or get your feet wet at Oahu’s most popular snorkeling destination, Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve. Tour Iolani Palace, the only official state residence of royalty in the United States, or learn the history of the Hawaiian Islands at the Polynesian Cultural Center. Friday, April 24, 2020 — Honolulu, Oahu
Discover the military history which has shaped the island of Oahu on a full-day Battlefields & Memorials of Oahu tour. Start at Pearl Harbor, home of the U.S. Navy Pacific Fleet where you’ll find exhibits of personal memorabilia and real film footage of the December 7, 1941 attack. Board the famed USS Missouri, where General Douglas MacArthur accepted Japan’s official surrender in Tokyo Bay in September 1945. Enjoy lunch at a restaurant located near Pearl Harbor. Return to explore the fascinating exhibits housed in the Pearl Harbor Visitor’s Center Museum. Take a Navy shuttle boat to the Arizona Memorial, where rests the remnants of the Battleship Arizona, now a living monument to the more than 1,200 servicemen who perished on the “day which will live in infamy” and ushered the United States’ entry into World War II. Your tour ends with a drive through historic Honolulu past landmarks like the Hawaii State Capital, Iolani Palace and China Town. Saturday, April 25, 2020 — Honolulu, Oahu – Cruise embarkation
After breakfast you’ll check out of the hotel and have a full-day Wonders of Oahu tour led by a knowledgeable local guide. It begins with a drive to the lush windward side of Oahu and its ever-changing tropical landscape. Arrive at the Hālona Blowhole, created thousands of years ago when molten lava tubes were formed from volcanic eruptions. On clear days, the islands of Molokai and Lanai can be seen in the distance from this lookout. Next arrive at the ancient Valley of Temples and Boyodo-In Temple. It is the most picturesque Buddhist temple in Hawaii, and it has been featured in TV shows and the 2001 movie Pearl Harbor. Continue along the lush windward coast to Kualoa Ranch for a tour of the famed Ka’a’awa Valley at Kualoa Ranch, known as the “backlot of Hawaii” because of the many Hollywood movies and TV shows filmed there. Start with a delicious barbecue lunch, then hop aboard a vintage school bus to see the Jurassic Park site, find Godzilla’s footprints and see the Windtalkers battleground. Next your motorcoach takes you to the cruise terminal to embark on your 7-night Hawaiian Islands cruise. The Pride of America leaves Honolulu this evening. Breakfast at hotel; lunch on excursion; dinner aboard ship; overnight at sea.
PLEASE NOTE: The movie set tour by vintage bus is not wheelchair accessible. Roads on the ranch can be bumpy due to uneven terrain. Guests with back problems should refrain from participating on this part of the tour. Those who opt out of the movie tour can stay at the gift shop, where there are tables outside.
Sunday, April 26, 2020 — Kahului, Maui
The “Valley Isle” of Maui is known for its beaches, surf spots, sugar cane farms, pineapple fields, beautiful landscapes and stunning sunsets. This morning you’ll have time to enjoy the island on your own. This afternoon you’ll have an included Maui Luau Experience. Head across the island to Old Lahaina Town, once the capital of Hawaii, where you will have free time to browse the quaint shops and art galleries on Front Street or visit historic sites such as the first Missionary home, built in 1832; the oldest continuous lighthouse in the Pacific; and the old court house and prison. Don’t miss the largest Banyan Tree outside of India, which was planted here in 1873. Its 16 trunks, in addition to the original, support the sprawling tree, which covers almost an acre of downtown Lahaina. Next enjoy an evening of traditional Hawaiian cuisine, music, cultural dances and demonstrations at the Old Lahaina Luau, the premier luau on Maui. Upon arrival you’ll be greeted with a beautiful floral lei and a tropical drink as you are escorted to your reserved seats. Stroll along the waterfront, where Hawaiian games are being played and crafters are practicing their art. Experience the ceremony as the imu (underground oven) is uncovered and the Pua’a Kalua (roasted pig) is revealed. Savor a bountiful buffet that features regional cuisine such as I’a (Maui-style fish), Pipi Ko’ala (grilled beef steak), Moa Island-style chicken and Poi. An open bar serving premium drinks, sodas, juices and tropical cocktails will be available all evening. Upon sunset, watch an award-winning production that tells the story of the early migration of the Polynesians and the history of the hula dance. Your ship stays in port tonight, so you can enjoy another day on beautiful Maui. Breakfast and lunch aboard ship today; dinner at luau; overnight in port.
Monday, April 27, 2020 — Kahului, Maui
Experience the delights and natural wonders of Maui at your leisure today, or book an optional excursion. Perhaps see a spectacular sunrise atop Haleakala, Maui’s highest peak, followed by a bike ride down the mountain, or travel the hairpin turns on the iconic road to Hana. Tuesday, April 28, 2020 — Hilo, Big Island of Hawaii
Arrive on the Big Island today. Your full-day Orchids, Volcanoes & Waterfalls excursion will show you the key sights of the charming town of Hilo as you drive towards Kilauea, the world’s longest erupting volcano; it’s been rumbling and flowing since 1983. But first you’ll stop along Volcano Road at Waianuenue, or Rainbow Falls, named for the colorful rainbows that form in the mist at the base of the 80-foot drop. Next arrive at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, the No. 1 visitor attraction in all of Hawaii. Nearing the summit road at Kilauea, notice the stark landscape left by its many recent lava flows; you’ll think you’ve landed on the moon! See an array of unique volcanic formations, including the Halemaumau Fire Pit, the Kilauea Iki Crater and the Thurston Lava Tube. Walk through the extinct lava tube for an up-close view of how lava cuts through the ground. Continue to the Hawaii Volcano Observatory and the Jagger Museum to see exhibits on the life of a volcano and relics that the erupting volcano left in its path. Enjoy a three-course lunch at The Volcano House, Hawaii’s oldest hotel. Then visit one of the largest orchid farms in the state, where the flowers bloom all year long. The highlight of this tour comes at the end, when you stop and take a pleasant, 0.4 mile loop through a tropical rainforest to view Akaka Falls, which plunges 422 feet over a volcanic cliff. It’s breathtaking! Breakfast and dinner aboard ship today; lunch on the excursion; overnight at sea.
PLEASE NOTE: The order of sites to visit will be different for each motorcoach group to avoid congestion at these sites. The Thurston Lava Tube is not wheelchair accessible. Those who cannot make the walk to Akaka Falls can relax in the park grounds.

Kona also holds a grand place in Hawaii’s history. See the Captain James Cook Memorial at Kealakehua Bay, a marine sanctuary with great snorkeling, or the restored Pu’uhonua o Honaunau National Historic Park. For a truly unique experience, take a manta ray boat tour to scuba or snorkel with these graceful sea creatures. Breakfast, lunch and dinner aboard ship today; overnight at sea.
