Its historic buildings include Dublin Castle, dating to the 13th century, and imposing St Patrick’s Cathedral, founded in 1191. St. Patrick's CathedralSunday, September 20, 2020 — Dublin
Savor a full Irish breakfast and enjoy a morning at leisure. Meet your Tour Director and take an afternoon orientation drive through statue-lined O’Connell Street, Dublin’s main thoroughfare and widest street; it’s as near to being the “center of Dublin” as you can be. O’Connell Street and the surrounding areas, bustling at all times of the day, are still the main shopping destination on the Northside. See elegant Georgian squares and drive past St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Oscar Wilde’s Trinity College. Join your Tour Director, Bluegreen host and fellow adventurers at a Welcome Dinner tonight. Breakfast and dinner are included today; overnight in Dublin.

Monday, September 21, 2020 — Dublin – Kildare – Cashel – Limerick – Ennis
Irish National StudHorse-racing country awaits you this morning. Drive across the Curragh to visit the Irish National Stud in County Kildare, a unique attraction of outstanding natural beauty that is home to some of the most magnificent horses and sumptuous gardens to be found anywhere in the world. Next stop at the Rock of Cashel, a historic site where St. Patrick preached, and Tipperary, made famous in a wartime marching song. At Limerick take an orientation drive to acquaint you with St. Mary’s Cathedral, King John’s Castle and the stone where the Treaty of Limerick was signed in 1691. Your day ends in Ennis, where you’ll step back in time at Bunratty Castle’s original Irish Medieval Banquet. Indulge in a four-course feast with wine, then sit back and let your medieval hosts entertain you with music and storytelling. It will be an unforgettable night! Breakfast and dinner are included today; overnight in Ennis.

Cliffs of MoherTuesday, September 22, 2020 — Ennis
Today’s excursion along Ireland’s spectacular Atlantic coastline begins with a drive to the 668-foot Cliffs of Moher, where you can take in the breathtaking panorama of the Clare coast. A scenic route across the limestone plateau of The Burren takes you to Galway, a popular seaside destination and a buzzing cosmopolitan center with colorful shops and a busy café and bar culture. This afternoon at Rathbaun Farm, try your hand at scone baking and learn about sheep shearing and herding from the farmer. Afterwards enjoy your scones, fresh from the oven, and coffee. Breakfast is included today; overnight in Ennis.

Horse-drawn jaunting carWednesday, September 23, 2020 — Ennis – Ring of Kerry – Killarney
After a short drive via Clonderlaw Bay to Killimer, cross the Shannon estuary by ferry. Continue on to Killorglin on Dingle Bay to join the spectacular Ring of Kerry for a 100-mile panoramic drive around the island’s southwestern tip. Take photos of the Lakes of Killarney from Ladies View, then spend the night in the popular resort town of Killarney. You’ll have a horse-drawn jaunting car (carriage) ride through the Killarney National Park to Ross Castle, a 15th-century tower house and keep on the edge of Lough Leane. It is the ancestral home of the O’Donoghue clan, later associated with the Brownes of Killarney. Enjoy informed and fun local banter from your driver as you admire the lake and stunning scenery of the park. Share stories from your day at a group dinner at your hotel this evening. Breakfast and dinner are included today; overnight in Killarney.

Thursday, September 24, 2020 — Killarney – Blarney – Waterford
Blarney CastleTravel across the Kerry Mountains and through County Cork to Blarney, renowned for its castle and magical Kissing Stone. Though earlier fortifications were built on the same spot, the current keep dates from 1446. You’ll have time for lunch on your own, to walk up to the castle and to shop for traditional Irish handicrafts. Tourists visiting Blarney Castle have the option to hang upside-down—with assistance—over a sheer drop to kiss the famous stone, which is said to give the gift of eloquence (if time permits; there is an extra cost to kiss the stone.) In the afternoon, proceed via Cork to Waterford, a stronghold founded by the Danish Vikings, for a guided tour of the House of Waterford Crystal. After a group dinner this evening, watch a demonstration on making Irish coffee, a cocktail consisting of hot coffee, Irish whiskey and sugar topped with cream, and taste its frothy goodness. For more local Irish flavor, take a scenic drive to a traditional pub where a local musician is ready to entertain you. Two drinks of your choice are included on this excursion. Breakfast and dinner are included today; overnight in Waterford.

Friday, September 25, 2020 — Waterford – Avoca – Glendalough – Dublin
Avoca MillToday visit Enniscorthy, site of the final battle of the Great Rebellion of 1798, and Ireland’s oldest handweaving mill at Avoca, where you will watch the weavers at work. Admire the Wicklow Mountains, which occupy the whole center of County Wicklow and stretch outside its borders into the counties of Dublin, Wexford and Carlow. At Glendalough you’ll see the early Christian monastic site founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century. Watch an engaging audiovisual presentation, “Ireland of the Monasteries,” and then join a local guide to see the remains of this ecclesiastical settlement. Back in Dublin tonight, bid a fitting farewell to Ireland at Taylors Irish Cabaret. You’ll have a three-course dinner, a drink of your choice and an Irish coffee, followed by a wonderful mix of Irish dancing, ballad singing, folk groups and comedy. Breakfast and dinner are included today; overnight in Dublin.
